IT’S ME O, LORD
I treasure the spiritual hymn that compares me to the preacher, the teacher, the deacon, etc. and concludes, “It isn’t them but me who is standing in the need of prayer.
I come seeking the company of my fellow pilgrims who, like me, are standing in the need of prayer.
I come with my heart open to hear his Word, even if it makes me tremble.
Father, do I dare tell you, “I’ll practice what I preach?”
Blessed be Your name.
Blessed be Your name.
