Tuesday

We had more excitement that I care to have near my apartment complex this afternoon!

Around 8:00p.m.  when I carried Ms. Cleo to do her business I noted a long black something on the sidewalk.  At first I thought it was some of there rubbing tubing that surrounds the area.
Then reality hit!  That long thirty or more inched something was a snake.  He was moving and seemed most lethargic. Nevertheless itv was a snake!   I was about six feet away from it.  I jerked Cleo, turned around and headed back to the safety of my apartment.  In less than five minutes another lady appeared walking her dog.  I asked her if it was a snake and she confirmed my suspicions.  She thought it might be dead also.  I asked her if she wanted me to spray it with my water hose from the patio and she thought that would be a good idea. I started spraying and it started moving and found lodging under a car three cars spaces away. Maintenance came and soon he was killed and carried off.
My heads knows black snakes are harmless and can be helpful.  My emotions go biserk when I see one.

That concludes my story for this Tuesday.
