Can’t decide whether I’ll do my water aerobics outside or inside this morning. Wed had a big thunderstorm last night.
I was lying in bed and for the first time since I’ve been at Alexian I heard the sound of rain pelting down. I moved here on 07-07-2007 and we’ve had lots of storms since then. Being hearing impaired and sometimes with and sometimes without wearing my normal hearing aids my ears never picked up the rain falling. Last night I was wearing my Lycra invisible hearing aids. I laughed. It was like standing outside caught in a downpour of rain. It was a beautiful, refreshing sound!
The storm has subsided but the air seems a little cooler.
My good friend Art is participating in the senior Dance with the Stars occasion this week. He was dressed to the nines and I thought I took his picture on my new Nikon I got for Christmas. I spent a lot of time last night trying to figure out where I went wrong. It was not until this morning that I figured out what I was doing wrong. It had to do with the release button. First it let you see the picture in focus then you have to click again for it to take. Who says an old senior can’t learn new tricks? Have you seen my latest profile picture on Facebook?
