Thursday

It’s misty outside so I’m switching from going to the outdoor pool to the exercise room this morning.

A memory of my good friend Laura Trundle:

Laura and her family moved to Rossville during the time my husband was serving as pastor of First Baptist Church, Rossville, Georgia, and I was teaching the third grade at North Rossville.
She was determined to get her youngest son David into my third grade class along with a Cuban refugee youngster by the name of Albert.  That was the beginning of a long and lasting friendship that has spanned many years between her family and my family.  She became our music teacher at North Rossville and my son Alan has many happy memories of being part of her musical productions.
She continued  to be on the lookout for recruits when I switched over to being a special ed. resource teacher.  At least once her recruitments brought several of bus on our small faculty into conflict.

Laura was a jewel, a fighter for justice, a true friend and a  loving wife and mother.
