Re editing an older manuscript has caused me to neglect my blog friends.  I’m sorry.

These days I’m being transported from the outposts of London, England and fifteen miles east tho the port city of England in the 1700’s.  I’m trying to pierce together the kind of carriage my family would have travelled in and uncover what I can about the ship that brought them to Charles Town–the old name for today’s Charleston, S.C.  Since the specific records for The Anne are nonexistent I’m having to borrow knowledge from other sailing vessels.  Here’s hoping I get it right-write historically.

A week from tomorrow I attend our annual Mid South Children Writers and Illustrator’s meeting at Franklin, TN, close to Nashville.  Mid South is an organization for TN-Ky. writers and illustrators and its parent organization is the national Society for Children’s Writers and Illustrators.
