It’s always fun to go bowling.  Ten of us went today.  We leave Alexian at 10:00 and return some where around 12:30.  This was a pretty good day for me.  Well, it was better than my last two off three outings!  Most of us girls(?), there’s only three of us, are worn out and head for the couch upon our return home.  You’d rob ably refer to us girls as over-the-hill senior adults.

I have friends who dearly love or detest college football.  Put me in the love, cheer them on column, especially if the team happens to be the Georgia Bulldogs, Baylor Bears or the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders.

That leads me to  the game(?) the English sometimes played aboard the Anne on their way to Georgia. It was played with a slender, round wooden rod about 36 inches long and one inch in diameter and thicker at one end than the other.  The object of the game(?) was who could draw the first blood with all parts of the person being valid targets.

And you thought football was a violent game?
