Lots of people major on giving up certain foods, habits, etc. during the Lenten season. And I suppose that has its merits.
I prefer to put my energies on discerning where God needs to use me and making myself available.
Lent is a time of inspecting our daily walk with Christ. It is a time of listening for the still small voice. It is a time to do do “inasmuch as you do it unto one of the least of these” projects.
How you spend the 40 days of Lent will determine the depth of your Easter celebration.
