Tonight’s featured speaker at our Chattanooga Writer’s Guild was my good friend Joyce McPherson.
For the past four years I’ve begged for someone to consider having a section in the Chattanooga Writers Guild specifically for those who write for children.  Tonight’s presentation was a step in that direction.
Passion and persistence pays off.  While good writing in any genre always rises to the top writing for children is very different from writing an adult novel.  One who wants to be successful in writing for children can not ignore these differences and expect to be published.
I’ll begin a series of some of the predominate differences in writing for children versus writing for adults on this blog beginning next week.
