MONDAY
MID SOUTH WRITER’S CONFERENCE
SEPTEMBER 17-20
My favorite breakout session was chaired by Courtney C. Stevens: PAL Marketing Roundtable.
She is a bundle of enthusiasm and knowledge! We spent the hour exploring m eight marketing ideas.
Each day I’ll share one of them with those of you who are published or wanna be published authors.
1. Focus on your controllable geographic area. For Behind Enemy Lines my best areas are: Signal Mountain, specifically Alexian Village; First Baptist Church, Chattanooga, TN; School librarians for Hamilton county and Walker County, Georgia and Chickamauga National Park. On a secondary level I need to move toward including all of Northwest Georgia and county that surround Hamilton County.
Identifying where to focus my attention for market my books is important. At this point it would be useless for me to spend major amount time hoping to influence a market in New York.
What’s next? Tomorrow’s challenge will be to discover your best advertising assets.
