A RAINY DAY ON THE MOUNTAIN

There are days when my accomplishments seem to be hiding.  Today has been one of those days.
Come to think of it I did wake up.  When your pushing toward 85 that within itself is a God send.  My blood sugar reading was 125 and I had a nourishing breakfast.  After reading the newspaper my accomplishments took a spiral downwards.   The afternoon found me napping, playing a little on-line scrabble, moving some clothes to my storage area, reading my Sunday School lesson, talking via phone with my son, doing some manuscript revision work, watching my Georgia Bulldogs get clobbered by Alabama, having dinner with some friends and winning twice in Saturday night bingo.  I think I’ll take a bath and get some more sleep!
PRAYER THOUGHT

Ho-hum, laid back days  offer each of us time to get in touch with with our inner self.  It’s refreshing to know that whether it’s rainy or sunshiny, exciting or dull, our Lord Jesus sends us love messages of encouragement.  Thank you, Lord, for ordinary days.
