I spend a lot of time, perhaps too much of my time, searching the internet and historical books I own for tiny bits of information to collaborated my understanding of British warfare in the 1700’s. Currently I’m trying to find out the roll played by drummers, how often, where and when they were used.
I think it’s safe to say drums/drummers were used to wake up the troops, accompany them while they were marching and sometimes utilized to taunt their enemies.
Do you ever spend time chasing rabbits?
