FLIP BACK THE CALENDAR
NOVEMBER 2ND, 1960
I ‘m at Macon Hospital in Macon, Georgia waiting on my first child to be born. I went into labor at 4:00 a.m. but Alan decided to delay his debut until 4:00 that afternoon.
They brought him to my room around &:00 that night. I cuddled him in my arms and he drank some orange juice. Immediately I checked out his fingers and toes. In those days they didn’t trust us mama’s to be too competent so they soon rushed him away.
When I reflect on the past fifty five years we’ve had together I can only say, “Thank you, Heavenly Father for the love and trust that binds us heart to heart. I can hardly wait until December the 13th, 2015, when he comes from California to visit me at Alexian Village atop Signal Mountain, Tennessee.”
