For the past three years I have, with very few exceptions, visited with my friend, Marjorie McGill in the assisted living section of Alexian Village. Today when I downloaded my weekly newsletter from my Sunday school class I learned Marjorie had died yesterday.
Her death has been declining for several years but still…..this thing we call death: we’re never completely ready for it. And if you, like me, are up in years it only magnifies your personal journey.
Her immediate family consisting of Laura and Andrew, their spouses and their children were always there for their mother, in-law, and grandmother.
It’s safe to say that to know Marjorie was to love her.
“One by one we reach the portals there to dwell with the immortals
Can’t you hear the angels singing? When they ring those golden bells for you and me.
