I’M STILL IN THE CHRISTMAS MODE

REMEMBERING CHRISTMAS’S PAST AT RIVER MYST HAVEN

My first Christmas visit  at River Myst Haven was a little awkward. I was still in the process of getting acquainted with Timothy’s side of the family. My  I was expected to give a gift to every member of the family, which numbered 3 but there was also Dedi’s best friend, her husband, and their son.  I anted up for each of them.  Then one year we drew names and that cut the gift list considerable.
We had a puzzle to put together that often fell my lot to complete.  Sometimes it was fun when we all worked on it together.  Other times it was a drag.
That first year we played that same Friend’s game we’d played when Alan and Timothy lived at Berekely.  It made me feel like an idiot.  Even when I knew the right answer my motor responses were slow.  We never played any more games after that!
I’d be amiss if I didn’t tell you that I spent many, many delightful hours at River Myst Haven.  Everyone knocked themselves out to make me feel welcomed and included.
Those shopping sprees Timothy and Alan carried me on are in my “forever memories” cache.  Eating out and eating at home are both memorable.

Tune in tomorrow for my class in making a Yule cake.

By the way I won twice at Bingo tonight!
