I go through the same roller coaster of emotions every year when I try to phantom what Jesus went through physically and emotionally from the time of the Last Supper until his crucifixion.
1.  Trial No. 1:
He was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane around midnight and carted off to pay a visit to Annas, the ex high priest.
2.  Trial No. 2:
He was tried before Caiaphas, the current High Priest at night time (illegal by their own standards because they could not accuse someone at night.
3.  Trial No. 3
Once again he was tried by Caiaphas and the Sanhedrin (legal by their standards because it after midnight)He was hurtled over to Ponitus Pilate who had the only legal authority to have him crucified.
4.  Trial No. 4:
Pilate shifted his responsibility and had him sent to Herod Antipas in Gailee for another trial.
5. Trial No. 5: Herod returned Jesus to Pilate
Pilate accedes to his death.
From his agony in prayer at Gethsemane, near 12:00 midnight until the time he hung on a Roman cross is a span of c.nine hours.  What began as accusations and counter accusations ended up with a most inhumane treatment of flogging after which he was forced to carry his own cross to his place of execution.

He who knew no sin became sin for me.
Amazing Grace, how can it be?  That one so pure would die for me.

Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.
