SUNDAY, MARCH 27TH
(some of my favorite bulletin quotes from FBC)
An emptied tomb means that hope has overshadowed fear, comfort has replaced neglect, faith has gained victory over doubt. Today, let us recommit to offering comfort, hope, and faith to others who are driven by fear, neglect, and doubt.
RANDOM THOUGHTS THAT RAN THROUGH MY MIND DURING THE WORSHIP HOUR
Idle tales was the disciples cleaned up version of calling the spice bearing women liars! Shut up spreading such rumors. You could get us all killed!

Handbell ringers produce music that makes my heart skip a beat
music from little children and grown ups too
participating by ringing my teacher’s bell given me upon completing 25 years of teaching in Walker County, Georgia.
“Lives again our glorious king, Alleluia!” On the word Alleluia bells rang throughout our church..twelve times we rang our bells!
Is there any Christian in our world that hasn’t been moved by Handle’s Hallelujah Chorus from his epic work Messiah?
That has lately become a trade mark of Jeff’s Parkers ministry among us.
Lilies make our sanctuary sparkle. I treasured the bright smile on my friend Rolena’s face when she thanked me for remembering her by placing a lily in her honor.
Finally two burly young men at the close of our service brought our cross festooned with fresh cut flowers to center stage. Weepy skies kept us from going outside but couldn’t dampen our spirits one whit. Once again we sang “Christ the Lord is Risen Today” and once again our bells rang out.
I felt, I tasted being part of a community of believers. Phone calls from Max and Alan and a bunny basket of goodies from my Parker family. Thanks be to God!
Lunch yesterday was well spent with the Matthews and Nita Brightwell. Nita is almost totally blind and her hearing is atrocious but she sure can talk! We enjoyed giving her a sounding board.
