WHEN OLD WOMEN GO SHOE SHOPPING

Remember I wrote about shoe shopping yesterday.  Well my bowling buddy, several years my junior, and I went shopping again for some dressy shoes.  She has a granddaughter who is getting married in June and I have my 85th dinner tribute in less than ten days.

Let me tell you in advance.  If you are, like me, over the hill in years, don’t bother to go shoe shopping!  The stores are flooded with shoes with heels that look like they’re ten inches tall and sandal with allsorts of fancy lace ups.  I cased out five stores and didn’t see a sensible pair of  dress shoes I could wear in the entire mall.

Furthermore when I got to church I didn’t sell a single book!

On the positive side my critique editor got my chapters six and seven back to me late yesterday and I had several cosmetic markings, mostly quotation marks to correct in chapter six and a little reworking in chapter seven.  I’m hoping to complete chapter (8) tomorrow.
