The next recorded meeting has Jesus meeting again with the disciples.  This time Thomas is present.  He’s already warned his fellow disciples:  “I’m not believing your story unless I can put my hands in his nail-scarred hands and touch his pierced side.”  For this statement he’s gone down in history as “Doubting Thomas”.

Coming face-to-face with the resurrected Jesus Thomas requires no proof and exclaims, “My Lord and my God!”

This is the same Thomas who upon hearing Jesus was determined to go to Jerusalem said,  “He insists on going to Jerusalem.  Let us go with him that we may die with him!”
